When I met Sarah and heard her talk about her wedding plans, I knew it was going to be a memorable day that I couldn’t wait to photograph! Sarah and Jack really embraced making the wedding fit their personalities, and included lots of sentimental nods from their decade of being together. As their officiant said, Dr. Suess sums it up quite nicely, “We are all a little weird, and life’s a little weird. And then we find someone who whose weirdness is compatible with ours. We join up with them, fall in mutual weirdness, and call it love”. These two found that special love early in life, and ten years later are still going strong! So as they started this next chapter of their lives together, it was cause for quite the celebration!

The decor and design was seamlessly executed by their amazing planner Kristine, with Simply Charming Socials. She really brought their vision to life, by making the industrial space at Upstairs Atlanta feel like a modern take on the the 1970’s, complete with an oriental rug, jam band style, covering the stage,  concert posters, and ticket stubs as accent decor, and simple greenery with a more wild and organic feel feel to it.

Some of the other cool details from the day; Sarah’s dress had hearts sewn on it, that were taken from her mothers wedding dress, they played the violin and guitar together during the ceremony, as their first “act” as husband and wife, Sarah rocked the most amazing custom painted leather jacket for post wedding pictures, and they ended the night giving out PB &J sandwiches, and driving off in a fabulous retro car! Did I mention they also used a guitar in place of a signing book, and that the groom rocked out with the band? I could go on, but instead I’ll just show you the pictures! Here is a few of my favorites.
