Sara and Darren say “I do” at the Ritz Carlton in Atlanta

July 3, 2018

Darren had almost given up on a day like this being in the cards for him, and then when he least expected it, he got connected with Sara, and his world was forever changed! The way he lights up when he is around her, it’s obvious it was worth the wait! I don’t know how else to describe Sara, other than FUN! And not only does she know how to have a great time, but it’s super important to her that those around her are having a blast too. So, I knew the dance floor was going to be on fire that night. In fact, one of her biggest concerns when trying to hire a photographer was finding someone that had good dance floor images in their portfolio. This is not a request I hear often, but since I absolutely love grabbing candid action shots on the dance floor, I was excited that she choose  to work with me!

It was a beautiful day from start to finish, Jim white designs did a fabulous job transforming the ceremony room at the Ritz with a into a sophisticated, romantic Ivory backdrop, where the chuppah could take center stage. The family Tallis were draped across the top of the birch framework for a personal touch. Amy with JDV occasions, made sure everything ran smoothly, and helped orchestrate the other special touches throughout the day. There was a memory tree in honor of loved ones who have passed, a cookie table (a Pittsburgh tradition) with cookies made by all of the guests to share, and take home, and an ice cream bar with plated desserts! I mean who needs cake when you have hundreds of cookies to choose from! Then Rupert’s Orchestra got everyone out on the dance floor, while Button it up photo booth created some fun take home images for the guests, and put them in a keepsake book for Sara and Darren to laugh about to years to come! It was quite the party, and even after the official send off, it was clear there was more fun to be had, at the lobby bar upstairs. Here are some of my favorite moments from the day. (For more vendor info, check out the bottom of the blog post.)

Sara and Darren- Thanks for entrusting me to hang with you on the dance floor, and ensure it was all documented well! Wish you guys lived closer. I could use another New York friend nearby to remisciece with about city life! Hopefully your path will lead you guys back to Atlanta one day down the road! All the best, Bre
