What I love about the intimate weddings I have been shooting lately, is really getting to focus in on the couple, and the few close family members in attendance. When there are only a handful of guests, and no bridal party, or big dance floor moments happening, I get to devote all of my energy to documenting the love and connection between the couple, and their loved ones. And at the end of the day, I can’t think of anything more beautiful than that to focus on!

It’s also been fun getting to capture the things that mark this unique time in history the wedding is taking place. For example, there being no staff to serve the food (because of COVID they just prep it and leave) so the groom poured the champagne, and bride became the best dressed server I’ve ever seen! There were also a lot of gloves floating around, for people to wear while serving themselves, so Amy’s nieces decided the extra gloves, could also double as a toy, and started blowing them up for fun. While weddings do look a little different than any of us expected they would in 2020, it warms my heart to see that celebrating love doesn’t have to wait!

Here are a few of my favorite images from the day!
