Darren had almost given up on a day like this being in the cards for him, and then when he least expected it, he got connected with Sara, and his world was forever changed! The way he lights up when he is around her, it’s obvious it was worth the wait! I don’t know how else to describe Sara, other than FUN! And not only does she know how to have a great time, but it’s super important to her that those around her are having a blast too. So, I knew the dance floor was going to be on fire that night. In fact, one of her biggest concerns when trying to hire a photographer was finding someone that had good dance floor images in their portfolio. This is not a request I hear often, but since I absolutely love grabbing candid action shots on the dance floor, I was excited that she choose  to work with me!

It was a beautiful day from start to finish, Jim white designs did a fabulous job transforming the ceremony room at the Ritz with a into a sophisticated, romantic Ivory backdrop, where the chuppah could take center stage. The family Tallis were draped across the top of the birch framework for a personal touch. Amy with JDV occasions, made sure everything ran smoothly, and helped orchestrate the other special touches throughout the day. There was a memory tree in honor of loved ones who have passed, a cookie table (a Pittsburgh tradition) with cookies made by all of the guests to share, and take home, and an ice cream bar with plated desserts! I mean who needs cake when you have hundreds of cookies to choose from! Then Rupert’s Orchestra got everyone out on the dance floor, while Button it up photo booth created some fun take home images for the guests, and put them in a keepsake book for Sara and Darren to laugh about to years to come! It was quite the party, and even after the official send off, it was clear there was more fun to be had, at the lobby bar upstairs. Here are some of my favorite moments from the day. Sara and Darren- Thanks for entrusting me to hang with you on the dance floor, and ensure it was all documented well! Wish you guys lived closer. I could use another New York friend nearby to remisciece with about city life! Hopefully your path will lead you guys back to Atlanta one day down the road! All the best, Bre

Weddings come in all shapes and sizes, and this was one of the most intimate ones I have had the chance to be a part of. In fact, it was just Molly, Ryan, her three kids, the officiant and me, so I consider myself lucky I even got to be there to witness this special elopement. The Atlanta Botanical Gardens is closed on Monday, so they rent it out for events. This ended up being the only event happening that night so we had the whole magical place to ourselves! I still remember the first time I visited the gardens after moving to Atlanta back in 2003, I knew I was about to get engaged, and I remember thinking what a beautiful place it would be for a wedding! Unfortunately for me, the timing didn’t end up working out for my own wedding to happen there, so I was excited all these years later to get to finally get to be there for one!
Molly and Ryan- Thank you for choosing me to document your wedding day! I am so glad the timing worked out for me to get back in town in time to be there with you all Monday night! I wish you guys all of the best, as you start this new chapter of your lives together and as a family.

I first met Rayne four years ago, when she came home from Australia, to visit her mom in TX (during my stint in Dallas). So when I found out she was engaged, and that we would all be together during our girl’s weekend, her mom had planned in Canada, we started making plans for their engagement session. It had always been a dream of mine to go back to Banff in the summer, when Lake Louise wasn’t frozen, to capture it’s beautiful turquoise waters in person. Unfortunately, winter went long this year, and when we pulled up to the lake, we found it still mostly frozen over.  Rayne and Tim, rolled with the flow, and embraced a little snow, some bright sun, and a lot of tourists, to help capture the beautiful mountain backdrops, and get some fun shots of the two of them and their sweet dog Maizey, in the place they now call home. After leaving Lake Louise, we decided to check out  nearby Bow Falls, in search of some actual flowing water, and sure enough we got it. Rayne in her Australian spirit, threw off her shoes, and embraced running around on the rocky waterfront, to grab a few more shots with Tim, before we headed back to Calgary. While Atlanta is great for lush green backdrops for engagement sessions, it was fun getting to shoot in a new locale, with such different terrain. So, if anyone else is looking do a destination engagement session, I am ready to go! And since I still didn’t get the shot of Lake Louise I wanted, it looks like a mid summer trip to Canada is in my future! Here are a few of my favorite shots.

Chris and Lindsay like to say they met the old fashioned way…in a bar! In today’s digital World that is getting more and more rare. It’s cool to see two people who are such seasoned World travelers, met right here in Atlanta! Their shared love for travel, and the Georgia Bulldogs, helped pave the way for future dates, and a few years, and a lot of life later, they found themselves walking down the beautiful lawn at Vinewood Plantation to say their I do’s. They were surrounded by friends, as well as family from all over the world, who flew in to celebrate their big day with them. Jamie Elliot helped plan and make sure everything looked fabulous, Sun in My Belly made sure everyone was well fed, there were beautiful flowers from Southern Stems, and the Crystal Clear Band kept everyone out on the dance floor! It was an awesome wedding day, filled with a lot of laughter, a few tears, and a whole lot of love! Here is a little peek at a few of my favorite images from the day.

Lindsay and Chris- Thank you for entrusting me to document your wedding day! It was absolutely beautiful! I loved getting to meet so much of your extended family. I had a blast on the dance floor photographing them along with all of your friends! It was the perfect celebration to kick start this next chapter of your lives together. I am so glad I got to be the one to capture it for you so you, so can relive the feelings from that day for many, many years to come! Enjoy your time in Bali! More Pictures coming soon!! Best Wishes, Bre
