Lisa and I got to know each other when I photographed her family back in 2013. Her dad had a serious health scare, and they wanted to get some family photos of her parents, siblings, and all the nieces and nephews together while they had the chance. The last 6 years have had some major ups and downs for their family, the hardest of which was suddenly losing their dad last year. Despite the heartache of that loss, Lisa always seems to have a smile on her face, and find a way to have fun, and laugh amidst the chaos of life, which I really respect about her.

She has been dating Ray (who I have been hearing about for the last few years) but had never gotten to meet. He popped the question a little over a month ago, and of course she said Yes, followed by, “Hey can we get married next month, when my extended family is all in town from England.” Ray agreed, and the rapid wedding planning commenced! I am so excited to be able to capture this special day for these two, and to celebrate how happy they make one another, and by extension all of those around them.

Here are a few of my favorite images from our engagement session in Alpharetta this week. And stay tuned, for wedding photos coming NEXT WEEK!!

Lisa & Ray- It was so fun hanging out, running around Avalon and eating Ice cream at Jeni’s together! Counting down the days until the wedding. See you guys very soon! All the best, Bre

Shani’s parents have a beautiful home in Dunwoody, so when they were trying to figure out the best location to say their “I do’s” , they figured why leave home? They looked to Jim White Designs to create the perfect backdrop for the day. It started with dramatic curtains at the entry way of the house, inviting guests in to the living room which was covered in ivory flowers, with lots of gold accents. The Chuppah was set up inside for the ceremony, while the cocktail hour, and dinner took place outside by the pool. After the ceremony the living room transformed into a dance floor, so the bride and groom could party the night away their friends and family! Here are a few of my favorite photos from the wedding day.

Shani & Evan- It has been such a awesome whirlwind working with try both! From getting your first call just a few weeks ago, to shooting your wedding and celebrating with you as you said your “I do’s”, it has been such a joy! I loved hearing the story of how you met, and how confident you both were, that no matter the length of time you have been dating, when you knew, you knew! I wish you guys a lifetime of love, happiness! All the best. Bre

I got the sweetest email from my friend, and fellow wedding vendor Jim White (of Jim White Designs), asking if I would photograph his daughter’s wedding. I was incredibly honored that he trusted me to document such an important day for his family, so even though it involved pushing of my trip to the beach by a day, I said yes!

The wedding took place in Jim’s backyard, and while it was going to be an intimate wedding, with him in charge I knew the florals and decor would still be over the top and fabulous! Penny and James are such a fun and easy going couple. They had a quick first look before the ceremony, which allowed us to get in some pictures before everyone started arriving. The ceremony was extra special, as it was officiated by Penny’s daughter. After saying their I do’s, they sipped on frozen Margarita’s to stay cool, and then jumped on the dance floor for some fun! Here are a few of my favorite images from the day.

I have known Mia and her family for many years. When we first met she was just a tween, and her mom, Gina, was doing my daughter’s newborn photos. It’s pretty cool that all these years later, I got to document Gina’s baby girl, as she gets ready to marry the love of her life! While I only recently met Will, it was clear to me, in just the little bit of time we spent together taking pictures, that he not only adores Mia, but that he brings out the best in each other. Together these two were full of so much joy, laughter, and love! I can’t wait to see all the future holds for these two, as they start this next stage of their lives as husband and wife!

Our initial plan was to head to Cane Creek Falls for their engagement session, but it turns out that the falls are closed off to the public for the summer! So I ended up taking them to this little spot in Dahlonega instead. I have passed by this location many times on my way up to my mom’s place in Blairsville, and have always thought it had such a pretty view. It ended up being the perfect plan b location for our shoot, and added a little extra adventure to the afternoon! Here are a few of my favorite images from the day!

I have started asking couples a little more about themselves before engagements sessions, to help give me some insight about their connection, so I can capture it in a way that is unique to them. Reading what these two had to say about one another, made it very clear they were a match made in Heaven! He raved about her angelic voice, her heart to serve God, how smart she was, and how he gets lost in her eyes. She went on about how faithful and encouraging he is, his sweet smile and big teddy bear hugs, his contagious laughter, and how he uses his voice to sing praises to God. She finished her list by writing “For starters…” As someone who has been married for 15 years, I’d say they are off to a really stellar start!

They had an absolutely beautiful day for their outdoor wedding ceremony, in North Georgia. I had never been to Kingwood Country Club before, but it is a hidden gem up in the mountains, with some really killer views! The sun was shining, and these two were beaming with excitement! We were a bit worried Aaron might pass out as he waited to see his bride to be for the first time, but once he did, you could see a wave of calm wash over him, and it was clear once again, that these two are even better together than they are apart! Here is a a little peek at some of my favorite images from the day.

Elaina & Aaron- I am so glad the Bridal Extravaganza of Atlanta brought us together! It has been such a joy getting to know you both! You two light up when you are together, and I am glad you will have pictures to remind you of all the joy and love you felt on your wedding day! All the best, Bre

On this day, fifty six years ago, two people said I do. Little did that couple know, that all these years later, their own son would get married on the very same day. There was so much to celebrate, as Lisa and Mike joined together with their closest friends and family to start this next chapter of their lives as husband and wife. The intimate ceremony took place in the gorgeous backyard of a friend’s home in Marietta. The beautiful ceremony backdrop was done by the talented team at Eventscapes, and the delicious food was served up by Three Sisters Catering. The evening ended with an amazing cake by Frosted Pumpkin, and some fun on the make shift dance floor! Here is a peek at some of my favorite images of the day.

Lisa & Mike- Thank you so much for inviting me into capture such a special day in your lives! I appreciate you treating me like one of the guests, and inviting me to help celebrate along with you. I wish you guys many years of happiness and fun travels together. All the best, Bre
